Monarch or Prince Daewon (대원군 / 大院君 - Daewongun) is a 1968 film directed by Shin Sang-ok.[1]

Synopsis[]

At the end of the Joseon Dynasty, Gojong is made King at an early age due to the death of King Cheoljong. Prince Daewon, Gojong's father, rules by proxy until Gojong's wife, Queen Min, succeeds in driving Daewon out of power.[1]
