I Want to Be Human (나도 인간이 되련다 / 나도 人間이 되련다 - Nado ingani doelyeonda) is a 1969 film directed by Yu Hyun-mok.[1]


A Russian woman working at the embassy in North Korea is in love with Seok-bong, a North Korean who is engaged to someone else. Seok-bong's brother is executed for participating in anti-communist demonstrations. When Seok-bong is also accused of this, he renounces the communist ideology and is killed while attempting to escape to South Korea.[1]
