Ghosts of Chosun or A Ghost Story of Joseon Dynasty (이조괴담 / 李朝怪談 - Ijo geodam) is a 1970 film directed by Shin Sang-ok.[1]
Synopsis[]
Yun Pil-u is accused of treason and beheaded by Prince Yeonsan-gun who then attempts to seduce Yun's wife, Yahwa. Rather than submit, Yahwa commits suicide, while asking her cat to take revenge on the Prince. The ghosts of Yun Pil-u and Yahwa haunt the Prince's residence along with the sounds of a supernatural cat until the spirits are exorcised by a Buddhist priest.[1]
