Biryu (비류) is a 1956 film directed by Lee Man-heung.[1]
Synopsis[]
While a couple are escaping from North Korea, the husband is shot and killed. The wife reaches South Korea, where she meets a man who looks like her husband. The wife of the other man is dying from tuberculosis, and he is attracted to the North Korean woman. In order to keep faith with her husband, she becomes a Buddhist nun. When her husband appears, not having been killed in the escape, but physically crippled, the two commit suicide together.[1]
