War and Humanity (전쟁과 인간 / 戦争과 人間 - Jeonjaenggwa ingan) is a 1971 film directed by Shin Sang-ok.[1]
Synopsis[]
During the Japanese occupation of Korea, a Korean college student, Jin-ho, marries Sakiko, the daughter of Colonel Fukube. Fukube, learning that Jin-ho is Korean, sends him to serve in Manchuria, hoping he will be killed. When he deserts the army and lives in hiding with Sakiko, Fukube hunts them down. Just as he is about to kill Jin-ho, the Korean Liberation Army saves him. Sakiko, however is killed during the fight.[1]
